Our leading technology was developed by Ohio University's Dr. Gerri Botte, a Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. She has earned international recognition for her innovative research. She possesses a dynamic technology portfolio, including the patent for ammonia electrolysis and thirteen other pending applications.
Gerardine (Gerri) Botte - Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Botte is world renowned for her advanced energy work and has a strong record of success. She has been awarded over $5.2M in external grants from both governmental and private sources. She is also the founder of the Center for Electrochemical Engineering Research (CEER) at Ohio University. Her technology portfolio includes fourteen patents; one granted (Ammonia Electrolysis) and thirteen pending. Recent, Dr. Botte was nominated for a 2010 World Technology Award in the category of Environment for her work in ammonia electrolysis.
Kent V. Shields - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Shields provides world-class leadership and industry know-how to the E3 team. He was formerly a General Manager at Cummins Diesel (Power Generation Division) and Senior Vice President at Datacard Group. He has extensive international commercialization and manufacturing experience, having worked in Europe, Asia/Pacific and Latin America. Mr. Shields holds and MBA from the University of Minnesota and an BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue.

Mr. Mansfield utilizes over twenty years experience in the sensor and battery industry with Eveready, Union Carbide, Renata and Sensor Development Corporation.
